\/>\nThe ARD presenter and author is herself the mother of a boy and this commitment is very close to her heart.<br \/>\nShe says: &#8220;I have been very lucky in life and am aware of my privileges. I think it&#8217;s natural to try to pass on a little of this and give time or attention to people who have been less fortunate. As I have a son myself, it is close to my heart to get involved for other children. I came to the KinderAugenKrebsStiftung in particular because a friend and colleague is affected as a mother. And with this disease, a little education can go a long way.
