shortly before my 2nd birthday, a unilateral RB was discovered on my right eye by an optician.<br \/>\nMy parents realized that something was wrong.<br \/>\nOne of my siblings had an appointment there, so they asked the optician to have a look.<br \/>\nHe immediately sent us to hospital.<br \/>\nThat almost certainly saved my life.<br \/>At first I wasn&#8217;t happy with myself at all because of my face and my artificial eye.<br \/>\nWhen I met my current husband 27 years ago, I gained self-confidence because he accepts me for who I am.<br \/>\nAnd about 10 years ago I discovered the vintage style for myself and today I love myself the way I am.<br \/>\nI walk around like this every day.<br \/>\nThis style gave rise to a project close to my heart.<br \/>\nEvery 2 years I make a pin-up calendar under my artist name Miss Southern Belle for the benefit of Childhood Cancer Switzerland.          <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>My motto in life is Never give up.<br \/>\nGiving up is not an option. <\/li>\n<li>I was very happy when I found Kaks.<br \/>\nTogether we are even stronger. <\/li>\n<li>  I am very quick-witted.<br \/>\n99.9 % of the time, I get something back by return of post. <\/li>\n<li>My look means everything to me and is part of my life.<br \/>\nI have learned to love myself through my look.<br \/>\nAnd I like myself, which wasn&#8217;t the case before.  <\/li>\n<li>My husband is the love of my life.<br \/>\nThe first time I saw him, I knew he was the one.<br \/>\nHe is the best thing that has happened to me in my life.  <\/li>\n<li>I would like to continue to
