You are always welcome here.
Elli's
Eyeland
You can visit us at Elli’s Eyeland, we are here for you.
Elli’s Eyeland is the only contact point in Germany for people dealing with retinoblastoma: Children, teenagers, their parents and grandparents, siblings, adult survivors and also doctors, ocularists and psychologists. The RTL – Wir helfen Kindern foundation makes it possible.
Being together
We invite you to visit us at Elli’s Eyeland!
Here we will listen to you, help you and, if you wish, we can also bring you together with our encouragers.
They have been living with the diagnosis of RB for a long time and have a lot of reason to encourage you!
Encourage
We would like to introduce your children to other children who also have a RB.
You can exchange ideas and encourage each other.
And we would also like to introduce you parents to other parents who are going through the same thing as you.
You can support each other and share your experiences.
Give confidence
But that’s not all – we also want to bring together adult survivors who may have been alone with the diagnosis and the associated thoughts and worries all their lives.
Together you can exchange ideas and strengthen each other.
Create knowledge
In our seminars, we want to create knowledge, bring people together and show perspectives.
For every age and target group. Feel free to contact us if you have any requests or concerns.
We will do our best to take them into account!
Workshops and events for children, young people and adults take place here regularly. “We are overjoyed and thank RTL for their great support!”
Monika König and Alexandra Everke, KAKS Board of Trustees.
Together we are strong
With empathy and joint meetings and activities, we give confidence and new rays of hope.
By those affected for those affected – because real experience, informative exchanges and networking connect and strengthen.

Children's book Elis, Elba and Elli
This KAKS book is the story of a friendship: once a year, the girls Elis and Elba meet at Mr. Robert’s, who is an ocularist, in a very special place.
For very special people.
In this book, Elis and Elba tell the secret of their lives and the ocularist Mr. Robert tells about his work.
The production of an ocular prosthesis is illustrated very clearly and explained in a child-friendly way.
Elli, the one-eyed elephant, a little wind and a little tingling in the stomach are always there.
The children’s book author Birgit Hansson writes: “Rare insights into the everyday life of children who live with a prosthetic eye.
Enchanting, hopeful, inspiring!”
Elli - the one-eyed elephant
This lovingly designed soft toy will take your child’s heart by storm.
Elli is not only a cute soft toy, but also a symbol of courage and self-acceptance.
Its removable eye makes it unique and special.
With Elli by your child’s side, they can feel safe and forget their worries.
Whether it’s cuddling with Elli or confiding secrets – Elli will always be a loyal companion.
Over 2,000 children worldwide have already received an Elli from the Children’s Eye Cancer Foundation.
Children's book Nina Elli
The children’s book “Nina Elli – for an examination at the eye clinic”.
A book to help children overcome their fear of anesthetic examinations.
In the booklet, the little girl Nina goes to the clinic for an eye examination.
It goes without saying that she takes her elephant Elli with her.
With simple explanations and the pictorial representation of the procedure, the children recognize their situation.
They learn in a child-friendly way what will happen to them in the operating room and that they will see mom and dad again afterwards.
Read in advance of the check-ups, this book should give children a sense of security in a situation that is challenging and frightening for them.
This booklet is intended for small children who have had an eye tumor and have to undergo regular check-ups under general anesthesia as a result.
The KinderAugenKrebsStiftung would like to thank Wolfgang Hölker and Sara Mehring from Coppenrath Verlag for the realization and the professional and friendly support.
Bianca Hövel for the idea for the book and the texts and Vanessa von Wendt for the illustrations!
The KAKS friendship bracelet
