“I was born in 1995 and was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma at the age of 10 months. The right eye was removed and the left eye was irradiated. Initially I had a glass eye, but at the age of 3 I got an acrylic eye, which is much better.I have been doing judo since 2000 and skiing since 2003, both in competitive sports. When I was 16, I trained to become a C trainer for alpine skiing, followed by a B trainer in 2015. In 2012, I got my car driving license at the age of 17 and passed the test on my first attempt. I graduated from high school in 2013 and started studying physics at the University of Düsseldorf the following fall.”
