KAKS wins prize from the Kroschke Children’s Foundation!

Anyone who achieves something special deserves recognition. With the “Exemplary help for sick children” award, the Kroschke Children’s Foundation honors people who do extraordinary things for sick children or who help to prevent illness. We are delighted that the Children’s Eye Cancer Foundation was able to accept the Kroschke Children’s Foundation award for our Elli project, alongside two other projects.
It was a great evening and we would like to thank the Kroschke Children’s Foundation for this special recognition of our work!

The prizes were awarded to the three winners on October 24, 2014 in Hamburg and are endowed with a total of 15,000 euros.
The sponsorship prize is awarded every two years.
A total of almost 40 institutions applied for the award.
However, the prize is not just a financial recognition, the award also raises the profile of KAKS and can open doors for further funding.

The three winners were selected by an independent jury.
The judges include the paediatrician Dr. Klaus Gritz (Bleckede), the physician Dr. Christine Mundlos (Berlin), the social education worker Dorothee Paape from the Fuge project in Bremen, winner in 2012, Rainer Schubert from the Braunschweig health authority, Frithjof von Kessel as a member of the Friends of the Kroschke Children’s Foundation and the Medical Director of Greifswald University Medicine, Dr. Thorsten Wygold.

It was a great evening, we thank the Kroschke Foundation for this special recognition, the beautiful movie about our Elli project and the nice family Röger for their great support!
