Because my cousin has retinoblastoma, I have a very personal connection to KAKS and know how important their work is for affected families. As a future teacher, I absolutely love working with children and want to encourage affected children in particular to follow their own path—even in their everyday school life.
At KAKS events, it’s always something very special for me to see the sparkle in the children’s eyes. Knowing that my commitment can play a small part in giving families wonderful moments, offering encouragement, and at the same time raising awareness about childhood eye cancer is simply incredibly fulfilling for me.
