Parent-child projects
We know how important exchanges, encounters, listening and processing are.
That’s why we bring people together, network with experts and encouragers, support, advise and empower.
RB MEETING
When we invited people to an RB meeting for the first time in summer 2013, two families and three adult RB Survivors attended.
A cautious encounter.
But immediately the feeling: these meetings are something very special. Characterized by great trust and shared experiences that connect in a special way, this was a group in which people can exchange ideas, name fears and hardships, laugh together and share valuable experiences. The three adult survivors told us that they had never met anyone diagnosed with RB before in their lives and had been alone with it for decades.
It was immediately clear: we want to change that.
Almost 500 people now register for our meetings.
We are proud that there is now a self-confident KAKS Teens group, that people meet with us and that lifelong friendships are formed. In recent years, we at KAKS have learned a lot about the needs, hardships, fears and wishes of those affected and have now established many services for children and their families.
